((Van is secretly the mastermind of several pranks that have gone on in the Outer barracks without anyone ever catching the perpetrator. None of them have been over the top, though, just eerily hard to trace. He likes giving Yen a hard time, just not THAT hard of a time.
Van totally would put salt in Heinrich’s coffee, but that’s only because he doesn’t understand how dead both he and Yen would be afterwards. Poor ignorant sod.
Van secretly looks up to Yen and admires him quite a lot. He has incredible respect for his battle prowess, his intelligence, his psionics, and his wisdom. He’s quite fond of him, actually, but because he has so much fun giving Yen a hard time and pretending like he’s salty over the fact that he can’t beat Yen in combat, he has a hard time showing it.
Van teasing Yen over his fine ass is not a joke. He thinks Yen is sexy as hell. If he wasn’t in love with Rainy he still wouldn’t chase him, though. He knows Yen is unavailable. Besides, he’s too old for Van.))

Sexuality Headcanon: This is a little complicated as his people (Terrans) don’t really use the “traditional” labels that humans would. Current he is known as Broken, which means he used to have a mate but lost them. Broken are incapable of getting into new romantic relationships.

(Slaver Market Prompt) Yen had to bite his tongue despite his first instinct wanting to shout to the twins. He and his companion Aikio couldn't reveal themselves yet. Not until they had a plan. They both kept their hoods up and cloth faceguards tightly bound to mask their appearance as much as possible. Thankfully, they had enough of the Southern blood in them that no one gave them a second glance at the parts that did show. At least the twins were alive, but now what?
The twins were not broken-not yet. Despite the pain and hate and darkness that pervaded this slave market, they had somehow held onto their hope and light through the long weeks.
But as they were dragged up to the auction block, they could feel the light beginning to die. No matter how much they fought, they could not stop the slavers from separating them, nor could they stop themselves from being forced to stand naked and chained and hurting up on the block, waiting for the bidding to begin. Their only hope was that they were purchased together, and if that were dashed, the long chasm of despair was all that waited for them.
