Write something abt stars??
ooo, that's a good one anon, thank you! i used my characters genesis and jay for this one :3 (i'm putting it under the cut so i don't clog ppls dashes lol)
"How'd you end up with this night sky?" Jay asked, waving a hand at the dark expanse, speckled with stars. She'd cross-referenced the constellations and whatnot, but nothing from any of the universes she pulled data from had anything that matched Creaturae's night.
Gen's wings shifted idly as he followed Jay's gesture, looking up to the stars. "I'm not really sure. The planet was created, and the rest just fell into place. I think it's some combination of whatever universes are the closest at any given time...?" He didn't sound too sure, but it was as good a guess as any.
Jay huffed, not satisfied with the confusing answer. But she knew that was as good as she'd get out of Genesis. "Has anyone ever gone out there? Or is Creaturae the only planet in this universe that was created with life?"
"You'll have'ta ask Rev about that," he replied with a shrug. "The only extraterrestrials we get are from other universes, not other planets within this one. At least as far as I know."
"Huh." Jay stared at the pinpricks of light. Her internal computer started to map out the skyscape, sifting through the data she'd looked at earlier to try and see what patchwork of universes it was made up of. She stopped the program, blinking away the information. She'd come up here to avoid thinking, after all.
"It's beautiful, isn't it. Even if it is a borrowed sky. Every piece of it was intentionally placed."
"Order and control even in the vacuum of space. Of course you'd love that," Jay scoffed.
He laughed. "Thank you for letting me see the stars again. At least for a little while."
Right. The other reason she'd come up here. Jay sighed and got to her feet. "Don't thank me. I might stop bringing you." She tugged at the chain, pulling Gen up by the handcuffs. He stood, swaying slightly on the edge of the roof. His little wings snapped out to stabilize him, and he winced at the motion. Jay barely waited for him to get his balance before tugging him along back to the roof access door.
As they descended back into the prison, Gen glanced behind him one more time to catch a glimpse of the stars, and smiled.
