Wow! Genesis 12 to Genesis 14 was God way in testing Abram faith.

He first sent Abram to Egypt, to test whether Abram believe that He can provide him, his safety, his family’s safety through famine. And Abram experience not only safety, but he also experienced God’s protection over him and his family + in return his treasure multiplied as well.

And then He had to trust God that He will protect Lot even when he has to be away from Abram. God then promised Abram His inheritance and blessings over him.

Now, God is testing Abram to see whether he can really stay strong bold even his family’s safety is in danger during the war. He marched forth with boldness and faith that his God can deliver them their enemies.

After defeating them, this really shows how God kept His promises and when Abram trust, he didn’t have a weak heart, but he is a warrior physically and also in his heart. Not only he was blessed but after that he still offers thanksgiving. Instead of boasting in his men’s and the victory, all he wanted was to give thanks and let his men receive those rewards. This shows me his leadership and also his faith and personality. 

He even made it clear that he didn’t want his story to be stained with man, but he wants his story to be filled with God. It is God’s blessings, that he was able to win battles, expand and multiply in his inheritance. All he wants was that people will see that, God is our ultimate provider and King.

What a faithful man!
