I thought a lot about what the middle would feel like when we started this thing 6 weeks ago, and of course- I feel different than expected. Sure, I’m counting down the days (because I’m human and miss my bed), but I keep thinking about all of the lessons this tour has taught me. How different everything is now. How the magic is still there, but it’s grown and transformed over the years. A vet from Genesis was giving me a ride back to my place after our first audition camps for the 2015 season when she said, “Yeah, Saturday was basically how spring training is set up. So do you think you could handle that everyday for 3 weeks straight?”

My body was so sore, it hurt to lift my fingers; I had to crawl out of my air mattress that morning. I thought I did awful on every diddy they taught us, and my brain still hurt from learning so much choreography. I didn’t even understand how I got a call back.

But without any hesitation I said, “Yeah, I think I could handle it.”
