It might be sudden but I was there, sitting in the sofa and talking to you while watching tv when suddenly the thought of my previous Himchan and your Sunhwa hit me like a punch right in the eye, just as sudden... I could say they were actually a little more than friends, right? But whatever, that’s not the case --- the case is that it happened long ago, already! And I was wondering: how long have we been friends? How long have I been blessed with your friendship? I have no idea and it actually does not matter. What matter is that I’m really glad to have you in my life, Dundun, I’m really glad we met and I’m really glad to keep you around in all the accounts I’ve had so far.

There are only three people from krp I kept with me for so long and I’m lucky for you to be one of them, I really am. Even though we don’t talk so often, I cherish you the most! You are the best friend I’ve ever had in this roleplay thing, and I want to keep things like this for as long as possible. You always say you’ll protect me from bad things and when I say I’ll do the same for you I really do mean it! It doesn’t matter what or who I have to face, I’m gonna protect you with all my strength and will ( even if I’m not that strong, I’ll do my best. ) And whenever you ask people not to belittle themselves, keep in mind that you should not belittle yourself too, you little strawberry! After all, you are awesome, and you know that---- it does not matter what stupid people say, you’ll always be the best.

Anyway, this is getting long and I don’t know what else to write... but yeah, you are amazing, an awesome writer ( one of the best ones I’ve seen, actually ) and an awesome friend. When the blinking light of his phone caught his attention and he absentmindedly unlocked the screen out of habit, Gikwang surely didn’t suspect or have any idea about what he was yet to witness. Face unbearably red with embarrassment, he tried to gather his wits for a few long minutes and when he had eventually composed himself as much as he could and settled down, he came up with a fairly dissmissive answer, so as not to make it more humiliating for her, that could help him mediate the situation and avoid awkwardness between them.

A beat of silence passes between the two – one in which the weight of her words settle and suddenly he is blanketed in warmth, appreciation, and a strong sense of affection for the woman in front of him. She looks at him in her wide and clear and brown and happy eyes. It’s a tremulous sort of happy – not so loud as joy, nor so steady as contentment, not so bland as pleasure, nor so oblivious as bliss – these will come later, he promises. How could a fallen angel love a being who clawed their way from hell to earth? Pure as freshly fallen snow begging to be tainted by bloodied hands.  He wants to cut them off to resist the temptation, to preserve her being from being infected, but quickly renounces the thought, knowing that being handicapped ( he laughs at the joke ) would be a terrible inconvenience. Trembling fingers clench and unclench. Don’t touch her, he commands. Don’t ruin her. Don’t you dare.

“I love you too,” it comes out as a despondent gasp – breathless from the overwhelming affection he had for her. All form of self control flies out the window once supple skin on skin contact is made, caressing her cheeks as he presses urgent kisses onto her lips. “God, I love you too.”
