She was a savy political woman but she was infertile an could not bear children. Ultimately this was a deal breaker for her and Sylvestre's marriage, because otherwise her and the Lesage's probably easily made the next Bahamut and secured a pretty strong political alliance.
Unfortunately, when a plague swept through Sanbreque she became ill and never really recovered. She wasn't overly fond of Dion, but she didn't treat him poorly, more regarded him with cold indifference.
