*Joseph Fipps* de Nadine Robert et Geneviève Godbout

Je suis Joseph, j’ai cinq ans et j’habite une maison carrée entourée de cinq arbres.

Joseph Fipps est un petit garçon de 5 ans, surnommé GRIPPON par sa maman quand il a fait une bêtise. Un jour, la bêtise est si grosse qu’elle se met très en colère et Joseph est hors de lui :

–Tu dis toujours non ! Je ne peux jamais rien faire. Tu es méchante et je veux une autre mère !

Les mots claquent ! La maman menace de l’envoyer chez une maman morse, sur la banquise, au Pôle Nord ! Joseph file dans le jardin, la tête basse, le cœur gros et le moral dans les chaussettes… et va s’endormir.

Quand il se réveille, est-il au Pôle Nord ou bien est-il prêt à se réconcilier avec sa mère ?

Joseph Fipps me fait penser à des albums comme Max et les maximonstres ou Le tigre blanc (dont La Soupe avait fait une belle chronique). Nadine Robert aborde la colère enfantine et l’incompréhension parent – enfant de manière incroyablement juste ! La réconciliation (qui ne manquera pas de clore l’album !) entre la mère et son petit garçon est une merveille d’émotion… Un texte fort allié à des illustrations d’un charme qui me laisse sans voix… Oui, comment parler des illustrations de Geneviève Godbout ? Elles sont tellement belles!
