This is one issue I wish fandom would tread carefully tho, bc this appears to be a TA: unis are NOTORIOUS for a lack of education/oversight, and then they'll throw the TA under the bus rather than admit they were at fault not checking the syllabus. Yeah the TA was an idiot and should absolutely be sat down and spoken to, but I hate the idea of someone making 11k a year having their stipend taken away to cover for a crappy admin system that should never have let a person who was clearly not competent to teach this class get away with it. This happens A LOT at my uni, and it drives me up a wall. :\ Ahem. End feelings.

Hopefully that doesn't happen, but I kinda admit to not being in a very patient/generous/understanding/whatever you want to call it mood right now because, frankly, it is that stupidly executed. Weirdly, I might have been more patient/understanding with someone who wasn't in fandom, because at least this would make sense in that regard. 

BLAME THE BLACKHAWKS; it's all darkness up in here. 

PS: There has now been a response from the instructor (linked in that summary linkset). I'm not incredibly satisfied with their response, no, but at least they're having the critique emailed privately now, which would have been stellar from the onset.
