Excellent, since I still feel bad about falling off of this one. It was only a series of unfortunate events that led to progress on that fic being halted in the first place.
Anyway! Gentlemen Prefer Tavs features me and @jarebear20 getting isekaied into BG3 in the bodies of the characters we rolled (SUPER FUN TIMES AHEAD since Jare rolled a Dark Urge). There's so much going on in here that I love and I have a ton of notes setting things up. Was really looking forward on digging into certain themes, plus approaching my medical traumas from a more healed standpoint.
The problem is that there were so many moving parts and I was struggling to vary conversations more than I did in This in Fine, so I actually got stuck on Wyll's proper introduction. I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to get him in particular right (since fandom at large has trouble doing that). So I stalled out. Then Veilguard got announced and I completely lost the correct mindset for GPT because I could start to see This is Fine's sequel starting to come together - but that's another story (literally!).
Anyway, I'm honestly not sure what's going to happen with GPT. There are still plenty of aspects of this story that I want to dig into, but I'm super rusty on BG3 stuff now, even moreso than I was then. (I'm a second playthrough type; that's when I start really locking down my comprehension of everything - but that hasn't happened yet...for a lot of these longer games for me, actually.) I'm actively working on fully original pieces, so I haven't been working on fic at all as of late (or even playing games, something I am trying to remedy). Ideally, I'd like to go back to this at some point. I just don't know how to shorten the timeframe I intended to cover while still doing justice to the story. Time will tell!
