I love love LOOOVE medieval/fantasy sniperscout stuff, it isn't super common i dont think (which is why i have my own version on ao3 lol—) bUT there are a few good ones!!!

Look im not gonna lie, im a total sucker for protective Sniper in their relationship. It might be out of character kinda or maybe not idk. But I think that after losing his adoptive parents and finding out his actual parents are assholes that don't even care about him, he'd be scared to lose Scout, too. Especially since he saw Scout die then come back to life. Scout understands why he feels that way I think, even if it does kinda get on his nerves sometimes and he has to remind Snipes that he can take care of himself just fine, thank you very much. He did take out a horde of bots on his own before the last one got a shot in after all.

Also I love how people write Scout as being someone who helps ground Sniper and get him out of his own head. All that chattering away to someone who's actually interested and actively listening! In turn, Sniper can help bring Scout down when he gets too heated about stuff, like arguments with teammates. RAAAAA I JUST REALLY LIKE THEIR DYNAMIC

Can fanfic writers please stop fucking writing Scout as being homophobic for literally no reason, it just comes across as an excuse for you to write gay characters getting called slurs.

I have a whole Skyrim/Elder Scrolls Sniper/Scout au in my head where Scout is the Dragonborn and Sniper is his companion with lycanthropy.

I have almost an entire oneshot written in my Google docs about how Sniper decided to tag along with Scout so he doesn't have to shoulder the entire fate of Nirn on his own

Idk if I'm ever gonna post it or talk about it beyond this but it lives in my brain rent free a lot of the time, my ask box is open if anyone gives a shit about that

One thing I would love to see more of in the TF2 writing/drawing sector is Medic being appreciated. Like, in the game, every merc thanks him almost every single time he heals them, and they always appreciate an ubercharge. I'm not saying the stories and art of Medic feeling unappreciated are bad, though! I love 'em! But I'd LOVE to see more of the team appreciating him like they do in the game, without something bad having to happen to him or them before they acknowledge him. Just something I notice a lot in SFMs and stuff. Medic is unappreciated, something happens that makes the team go without through a match without him, they come to realize he's important, and THEN they appreciate him. I just wanna see more of them already knowing and acting like he's important. It's nice to see him being praised for running around keeping everyone healed all the time.
