I want to see more Dream and Geno as friends. Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top?
Think about it with me for a moment. Both of them lost everything they ever knew and loved to genocides. And the save screen, an empty void where Geno could watch but never interact or help, is a bit similar to being locked in stone, where Dream was canonically at least partially aware, unable to move or anything.
There’s also their brothers, their dear brothers they love more than life itself, but they’re… not. Aftertale Papyrus and Corrupted Nightmare are their brothers, just a hit to the left, just enough to throw them off occasionally. Of course, they still love them more than anything though.
Finally, they both carry a weight they view as important, that they think they need to hold up and tie into their identity. But they don’t. Geno thinks he needs to end his timeline, and Dream thinks he alone needs to make everyone happy. Both by burdens they place on themselves
But Geno dropped that burden. He escaped his prison, and had two brothers he loves. Sure, Dream stopped being stone, and has Ink and Blue, but he refuses to let go of his ‘necessary job’.
Would Dream be jealous that Geno got to drop his ‘mission’ and have a home to return to? Would he feel hope that he could one day do the same? Would Geno see a bit of his situation in Dream? Would he try to offer advice or push Dream away?
They’re also two of my favorites. They’re besties your honor.
