...Oh god...Idk I'm not feeling particularly rageful atm but. Here goes.

Nah but for real, I can almost attribute every bad thing in my life over the past decade or so to my mom’s bullshittery. From middle school to college, it’s always been a fucking struggle just to survive. If we weren’t broke (which was usually her fault because she’d want to ‘manage money’ by spending it all on useless crap) then we were being either physically or emotionally/verbally abused. Like those were the default settings, back then. She was also an alcoholic, so that just made everything worse. I built up my resentment for my mother of the course of ten, maybe more, years. My mom acts like my change in attitude has been a recent thing. She really can’t figure out why I seem so apathetic and uncaring about her and the fact that I’m leaving soon. Like, I’ve gotten to that point in my life where I can’t fake emotion around her.  I “hate” her, but I mostly just don’t fucking give a shit about what happens to her. Whenever I picture myself “moving on” with my life, I see myself moving out and never looking back. ‘Cause it’s one thing to have a fucked up childhood…but when you’re a person who’s just begun to be an adult, just barely getting through college...being treated like you’re a ten year old when you’re twenty is just fucking insulting. And last summer was what really, truly “changed” my attitude. I dropped the fucking courtesy of being a “caring daughter” for the most part, because I just couldn’t do it. And while I’m still pissed that I’m being forced to leave to a school I didn’t really choose, I’m  also given the gift of not having to be around my mother anymore. The amount of done I am with that woman is tremendous.
