Alone, in the dark, with her brother’s ex-fiancée - who he was still in love with and who she happened to have had a major, forbidden, consuming crush on ever since she was a teenager.

I LOVE this story!!! It’s so emotional but it’s like the good kind of emotional, it’s so cathartic and I love it.

It is near midnight on a Friday night when Gendry Waters and Sansa Stark see each other, for the first time in almost ten years. The bar is hazy with second-hand smoke, the low thump of the bass echoing in their ears, but she stumbles and he reaches and something in them says "oh."

This is another emotional catharsis fic but in a different way? Like UGH this is so well written!!! Like the vibes between two struggling people always intrigues me and this is no exception

This is such a good Hogwarts AU series, it has everything. Triwizard Tournament, family drama, and Gay Yearning. Honestly just read it it’s so good.

It has been raining all morning, a spitting rainfall that leaves the red on Sansa's cheeks running town like red tears. Whatever beauty her mother had once praised, it is hidden, now, behind the face of this warrior woman, wielding her dagger with more dexterity than she'd ever thought possible, though she is sheltered behind Brienne, with Podrick on her left and one of her lower commanders on her right, Nymeria standing almost as tall as a horse, canines dripping with blood.

She is safe, she is protected, she is in the midst of battle and the drumbeats echo in her ears, her heart, her gut. What is beauty, compared to this rush, this exhilaration? (She has never understood Arya quite so well as in that moment).

pairing: sansa stark & gendry baratheon setting: post-canon, pen pals au story concept for GoT rare pair milestone madness [2 of 16] 

The crown is heavier than she thought it would be, and Sansa thinks it might be because there’s not a single person around anymore to help her hold it, to keep her standing tall. The halls are quiet. So is her solar. She takes dinner alone most nights and walks Winterfell like a ghost herself, but being a ghost might be preferable. As a ghost she would be reunited with all those she’d lost, and here in Winterfell she is truly alone. 

It’s a whim, more than anything else, a thought to a man that had once been kind to her that she thought… she wasn’t sure. Might understand that empty space that used to be filled? She’s had more wine than normal, and the night is a heavy one—hanging around her shoulders like a winter cloak—when she decides to write a letter to the newly appointed Lord of Storm’s End. When she wakes she can barely remember exactly what she’s said, just that she hopes the bird never makes it for the sake of her own pride. 

Two weeks later a letter returns, filled only with understanding and questions and more kindness paired with a surprising bluntness that’s... refreshing. It’s easy to send another letter right back. Perhaps too easy, but she doesn’t feel alone anymore, and she doesn’t know how to turn away from that.

Do you think it's possible for Gendsa to be endgame? Could all the Jonsa clues work for Gendsa as well?

Dear nonny, short answer: no.

Longer answer: The Jonsa clues are (in a nutshell and very, very short) Snow imagery in Sansa’s storyline, Fish and redhead imagery in Jon’s storyline. Additionally Jon’s and Sansa’s wishes and dreams work like a puzzle that is complete if you put them together. Also, other characters act as a stand-in (Ygritte, the Hound). None of this works for Gendry and Sansa.

There is some evidence that Sansa will marry a bastard, but that is about the only thing that could be bend towards Gendsa (as well as Robert Baratheon’s line: I have a son, you have a daughter…). But Gendry on the show is a blend of Gendry Waters (no Snow connection) there and Edric Storm, and I doubt that they would have done that blend if Gensa would happen.

Also, and that is just my opinion, I don’t really like the ship. I have low-key hopes for Gendrya and I think that this works far better and there are more clues for Gendrya than you could put together for Gensa. And you would have to try very, very hard. Robert’s line was meant for Gendrya, I’m quite convinced about that.

If Gendry and Sansa do marry, it better not be similar to Rob and Cersei’s relationship.

If Gendry loses Arya, that would be like Rob losing Lyanna. And I don’t want Sansa to become bitter and jaded like Cersei, through Rob’s disdain. I can only see this alliance happening if Arya, or Jon die, or both.
