There were plenty of monsters in Veloria, but this close to the city, it was mostly just Slimes. They could cause problems, but they were easy enough for even the average citizen to get rid of.

That didn't mean Tempera didn't occasionally go out to the outskirts of Forte City and do some fighting, anyway. It was part of his patrol route, so why not?

It was as he was smashing a Geo slime that he realized someone was running towards him, someone else flying alongside her. Tempera only had about three seconds to realize that the stranger was being chased by a band of Hillichurls.

A sigh left his lips, and Tempera held a hand up. "Stop." Suddenly, they were all frozen in place. "Are you alright?"

Wriothesley had been spending more time on the surface lately, mostly at the insistence of Sigewinne. This time around, he decided to visit Poisson. He knew what had happened to it before the major flood, but honestly, he wasn't surprised to see it looking fairly lively as he descended.

And the person he was looking for happened to be right there, having a chat with one of the 'villagers.'

"Nice place you got here," he said when she spotted him.

Just as he'd promised, he brought Navia along the next time he traveled to the area the Hydro vishaps were roaming. It was after a trial, so though he probably should have returned to the Court of Fontaine to take care of the loose ends of the case, he preferred to take some time to relax. He'd only been told to do so by several people pretty much every time he finished a trial lately.

"As I said, the original Hydro sovereign was a vishap. So though I may be human now, they're the closest thing I have to family." He paused as they walked, seeing one of the vishaps over the hill. As they approached, he took off his gloves; probably the first time Navia had seen him anything but completely covered. His hands had a blue tinge to them.

The vishaps crowded around as soon as they saw him, and he reached out, just resting a hand on one of their heads. They were acting more like puppies than the 'vicious monsters' a lot of people thought of them as.

He turned to Navia to say something else, when she leaned right into him, pressing her lips to his. He stood there, looking stunned, for a moment. And then he leaned closer as well, an instinct to return the kiss taking over for another few moments.

"...and what was that for?"

It was the first time in a while Tempera and Cadenza got to travel together in a while. Tempera, always the calmer one, just keeping an eye on Cadenza as she lead the way into Poisson.

He'd sent Navia a letter letting her know they planned to visit, so between that and her always being out and about doing something, he wasn't surprised to find Navia right out there to greet them.

"You look as energetic as ever," he said as soon as their eyes met.

"Eh, I wouldn't say I'm buff, exactly." Yes he did hear at least part of Zahira and Roxy's conversation.

Outside of a few specific places, a thunderstorm on Veloria was a notable event. Cadenza wasn't supposed to go out in it because of the potential it was magic discharge rather than a natural storm, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to.

Especially when she spotted something flying, then get struck by lightning and tumble from the sky into the forest surrounding the city. It took some doing, but she managed to get out.

She did, at least, message Tempera to let him know where she was going. She knew he'd check up on her if she wasn't back in a couple hours.

"...that's a big crater," she said as she reached the clearing. But the only thing she found in the middle was a girl. Cadenza wasn't sure she wanted to get closer just yet. "Hey! Are you okay?"

Wriothesley had plenty of things he needed to do, but after spending that time basically cross-examining the gun's buyer, he really didn't like the thought of immediately going back to the Fortress of Meropide.

So that's how he ended up wandering over to the film festival. There was so much going on that he didn't catch too much attention.

And then he spotted a familiar face, and he smiled slightly and waved when he caught her eye.

"Hey!" he said as he approached Navia. "Been a while. Knew you guys were helping out here but didn't think I'd see the big boss herself on the ground."

Unless he was doing something that required privacy, he usually kept his door open so that people could come in to ask questions or visit when they wanted during the day. But he was still surprised to see Navia come waltzing in.

"Miss Navia. It's been quite a while. Is there something I can do for you?"
