She turned to look back just as she was getting out. A slight blush on her face. He didn't seem to mind at all. Then again, his social cues were so different from most people. "Ah, and I bet you are a fast swimmer too. Could go out for a break and be back before anyone knew. You were moving through that water so smoothly." Lumine felt like she was an alright swimmer, but compared to people here she was a novice.

"Until Lady Furina invited me here to Fontaine, I mostly lived in the oceans around Inazuma and a bit further out. Walking on land is actually what's 'strange' to me," he said. Still wasn't drying off at all.

"If you feel you need swimming lessons, I could assist."

((Still convinced part of the reason Neuvillette basically covers everything but his head is that he has visible scales along his skin. Not covered but here and there as well as blue patches instead of his human skin color.))

She's just mesmerized by something that caught her eye while she was walking in Court of Fontaine and is standing there in the middle of the walkway.

Nilou quickly left the water, reaching for the bag she had left there on the beach and pulling a towel out to hand to him. She wasn't going to bother with drying off for now. There was a non-zero chance she would be going back in the water.

Still, she didn't want to leave this poor man without properly apologizing.

"I really am sorry," she said. "I was just having so much fun that I didn't realize anyone else was around!" After he took the towel, she smiled, rocking on her bare feet. "My name is Nilou. Are you from around here? I'm visiting from Sumeru so I'm not exactly familiar with the area."

It had been awhile since Lumine had traveled to Fontaine. Some of her supplies from there were getting low. Paimon always hated having to scour the area for hours looking for materials, so she was instead left in charge of gathering food supplies. Now the real question would be how much of the food would actually make it into the collection.

She had been stooped down by the shore looking at shells when she heard the sound of water splashing. Glancing over she expected a fish or otter to be nearby, but instead she saw a different kind of sea creature.

Lumine knew he enjoyed swimming, but she had yet to see it for herself. He moved so fluidly. What was even more surprising though was seeing him without all the frills and uniform. Made her drop the shell she was holding when he called out to her. Was it rude to keep staring?

"Oh, hello Neuvillette. You should know I go to all the farthest places. The life of a traveler after all." Turning her glace away, she rubbed at her cheek. "I uh, didn't know this was where you did your swimming. I Can go searching other shores if you'd rather not have an audience."

Neuvillette shook his head as he reached the shore. "Fontaine's land is meant for everyone. It would be quite remiss of me to tell you to leave." He was dripping wet and really didn't seem to mind at all.

"As for why I'm here, I was simply swimming and this is where I ended up. I've lived in Fontaine long enough that I'm able to return to the Court of Fontaine from anywhere else in the country, so I don't worry too much if I go a bit father than I intended. Though I wouldn't say this is unfamiliar territory; the Fortress of Meropide is under the water not far from here."

A glimmer of light caught the woman's eyes, and she turned her head to see the droplets of water twirling around a red-haired stranger. Oh, this was new... Vaitiare was not accustomed to having someone join her dances! How delightful!! And the way she moved was so beautiful, a method of dance that was quite different from her own. Maybe she could learn from it. After all, Vaitiare could always appreciate a dance that incorporates water.

She smiled warmly as she watched the other dancer through the rain, but she didn't halt her own movements. A pirouette sent her twirling, droplets of rain falling off her in the movement. After all, she didn't have a Vision of her own to enhance her dancing.

She spun again, kicking up the water from the puddles with added vigor. Vaitiare twirled around and around the other dancer, and when she landed in troisième, she let out a wave of warm laughter. A silent, friendly greeting. Is this a game?

A giggle left her lips as she finally stopped in front of the stranger, and the rain around her finally went back to its normal flow. The glow of her Vision died down.

One more spin on her feet, just feeling the water on her bare skin. She had definitely gotten some looks from people who noticed she wasn't wearing shoes, but there was nothing stopping her. And she did have some to put on for businesses that required them. But really, dancing was the most invigorating when she could feel the ground with her own feet.

Finally, deciding to be the first to speak, she said, "You dance beautifully. It reminds me of a ballerina in a music box."

Lumine probably hadn’t expected to see anyone besides perhaps Treasure Hoarders out here in north western Fontaine, but there was Neuvillette, just out swimming. Did he intentionally come out here, or did he just start swimming and keep going? The latter, probably.

Though what was likely more shocking was finding him dressed down, nothing but a shirt and shorts. He’d probably be wearing less if not for the Fontaine laws about public decency.

He paused when he realized he wasn’t alone, easily jumping out of the water.

“Ah, good day, Traveler. I didn’t expect to see someone this far out.”

Nilou would have the feeling of being watched as Violets fox tail pointed out of nearby bushes. the young Kitsune waiting for the opportune moment to pounce.

It wasn't that uncommon to feel like she was being watched here in the city, but she didn't usually feel like it was hostile. People just seemed to think she was much more interesting than she herself did. Unless they approached, she left them be.

Which was why she continued on her way down the street, arms full of groceries to bring back home.

((Anyway it's nearly bedtime for me but I'll be back tomorrow to terrorize people some more.
