( zodiac headcanons // always accepting ) @gentillebeaute WROTE: does your muse engage in introspection often ?
Not as much as he probably should lmao That's not say he lacks all self-awareness. It's just that he finds it easier to engage with the concrete than the abstract. He also tends to be impulsive and action-oriented. He's very much led by emotion. He does what feels right in the moment. I fear he tends to have confirmation bias, too. When he does engage in introspection, he's most likely to reach a conclusion that confirms his first inclinations. Like, once he's picked a course of action, it's very unlikely he'll deviate from it, and contemplating that decision will only turn up more reasons for him to stick to his guns. For example, he constantly turned over in his head his commitment to freeing his father vs the sacrifices it would demand, but he always reached the conclusion that he had to stick to his plan. I think the most introspection he's done was during COTBP when he had to reconcile his father being a pirate and a good man, but echoes of that dilemma rang out in the sequels in the form of him committing dishonorable acts for honorable reasons and convincing himself that justified it.
