He had every right to move on. Or at least so did people keep advising him when advising him he did once and for all. Nevertheless, inside he felt like he wasn't ready; like it was all happening to soon, like he would be committing some form of treason if he did in fact move on.
That was why after Dave had been a gentleman and walked him back to Dalton ( he had figured living at the dorms was far less sad than moving back in with his parents ), as he felt them slowly leaning towards the other, attracted like magnets, he was actually relieved to be punctuated by his phone ringing.
❝ I'm sorry, ❞ he excused himself, fishing the device out of his pocket to silence it. ❝ It's... It's just Sam, he always calls me at this time. We were support to start watching the Defenders together tonight, I completely forgot. ❞ He exhaled a nervous chuckle, sliding his phone back into his pocket.
