gentle noble anime is nearly out so I'm taking the time to plug it to the masses by saying!!! it's like if Cale got isekaid into a world, decided to be chill about it, and then actually got to be chill. yes the MC still shocks his ever growing (not quite) harem by how lax he is, how randomly powerful he is, and how unflinching he is with pain. and yes he goes around getting involved in a lot of things a normal holiday maker wouldn't. but he's still very much having a good time!!!

Misaki-sensei’s Blog Updates:

I’m not gonna translate all of Misaki-sensei’s updates, especially since a lot of it is spoilers, but I will briefly mention whenever she posts something!  She posted an update today that just talked about some comments on the latest chapter of the webnovel, the upcoming product releases—novel 14 and the newly written short stories that will be included, drama CD 3, the tea tins, both of which will also include new short stories.

And!  She wrote a little Halloween story!  As with other short stories she’s written for Gentle Noble, it’s an IF story, meaning it’s non-canonical, because the Gentle Noble world does not have Halloween.  I did a quick translation below the cut.

“A slightly evil Risel, aka a candy hunter, has been born!”

(*Warning: This story does mention characters that have not yet appeared in English.  If you do not want to read spoilers, stop at Count Shadow.)

IF the definition of Halloween that Lizel heard was “an event where you do whatever it takes to get candy” (Source: the children at the inn) “Gil, trick or treat.” “If you’re going to trick me, then just do it.” “Please wear this outfit for the day.” “...” He was given a vampire costume. Silently, Gil stood up and went to get some sweets from the landlady. “Eleven, trick or treat.” “How much do you want?” “Wow, there’s a lot.” I’m curious about the trick, too, but… it’s like walking into a minefield, too scary. Eleven was completely ready; he always carried candy. On the other hand, Lizel had a traumatizing surprise (worms) ready, so the prank really was not an option for Eleven. “Judge, trick or treat.” “Wow, I’ve been waiting…!  I have cake, and there’s cookies and chocolate, too!” “Thank you very much.  Let’s eat them together.” “Yes!” If you go to Judge’s house, he will be fully prepared. They had a blissful snack break.  Happy Halloween. “Studd, trick or treat.” “...” “Ah, do you not know about this?” “What do I say here?” “Then it’s a trick.” Lizel tied Studd’s bangs back with a ribbon. After that, they went to buy sweets together.  Happy halloween. “Viscount Ray, trick or treat.” ”Well now, what will you give me?” “This.” ←Lizel pulled out a painting. “That’s— A labyrinth painting of you all…!” “It’s like that.”←Lizel put it away. “What’s with that…” He had deliberately shown off the painting. After that, Ray gave him candy and asked to receive the painting. “Count Shadow, trick or treat.” “Denied.  This season revitalizes trade and I’m busy.” “You’re working hard.” “...” “...”←Lizel waited close by. “......What is your objective?” Lizel won’t leave until he gets it (not interfering with work) (just there) (a little bothersome). Lizel got popular candy that’s hard to get even in the mercantile country Marcade. “Mr. Hisui, trick or treat.” “What are you wearing?” “I’m a dragon.  It seems that it’s better to dress as a strong monster.” “Huh.  Oh, candy?  …What happens if I don’t have any?” “I’ll ask your old party leader for embarrassing stories about you.” “Hold on a second.” He ran to buy some. After this, Hisui turned the trick or treating back on Lizel. “Mr. Host, trick or treat.” “I’m terrible at making sweets so I haven’t prepared anything.” “Your prized teatime snacks will do fine.” “How the hell do you know about that, I did my best to hide it!” It was extortion. “Mr. Nahas, trick or treat.” “Haha, Halloween?  Here, the honey candy I was planning to give to my partner.” “You don’t have to go that far.” “Don’t worry about it.  My partner has a big heart, you know!” It was theft. “Quat, trick or treat.” “Huh?” “Trick.” “Huh!?” Lizel got Quat to pull out a thin tail and tied a ribbon to it. After this, they made candy together and it was a disaster.
