Ronin Beaufort

Ronin finds your summer misery hilarious.

♡ The second he sees you flopped on the couch in a tank top and an ice pack down your shirt, he smirks: “Aww, what’s wrong, darlin’? Can’t handle a little sunshine?”

♡ He refuses to turn on the AC unless you threaten violence. “Heat builds character. Or were you always this dramatic?” (He’s already turning the AC on behind your back. He just likes watching you flail.)

♡ When the bugs get bad, he pulls out an old-school fly swatter like it’s a weapon and declares war. He’s unnecessarily aggressive about it. “This one’s for you, baby,” he says, smacking the air dramatically.

♡ If you’re grumpy, he gets handsy. Not necessarily helpful, but distracting. “C’mon, sweat looks good on you. And I’ve got a few ways to make you forget the heat…”

Maria de la Rosa(Angel)

Angel actually loves summer—but she loves you more.

♡ She notices how miserable you are and immediately adapts her plans. No more long hikes. No open fields. Just shaded walks, indoor picnics, and cool drinks.

♡ She gets you one of those handheld fans—and decorates it with your favorite colors or stickers. “Gotta keep my baby cool and cute.”

♡ If bugs come near you? She’s ready with the spray. “Not today, Satan,” she mutters, shielding you like a bug-slaying guardian angel.

♡ She brings you popsicles. She wears flowy clothes. She sets up soft pillows in the coolest part of the house so you two can nap together. “See? Summer’s not so bad when you’re wrapped up in me.”

Misaki Katsuo

Misaki doesn’t love the heat either, but they’ll never admit it. Their whole vibe is “adapt and cause problems.”

♡ They turn summer into a game. Every bug you swat earns you a point. Every time you complain, they tickle you.

♡ “You hate summer?” they grin, already dragging you outside with a squirt gun. “Then it’s war, babe.”

♡ They set up a kiddie pool and force you to sit in it with them like a pair of gremlins. “We suffer together. It’s romantic.”

♡ And when you finally snap and say, “I’m going to melt,” they grin and pour an entire pitcher of cold water on your head. “Better?” (They’re soaked right after, don’t worry.)

Valentin Viljoen(V)

V hates inefficient suffering, so he becomes your personal anti-summer strategist.

♡ Blackout curtains. High-end AC unit. Bug-repelling plants and scents. He has it all set up like a military operation.

♡ You wake up one morning to find the thermostat pre-programmed, your clothes chilled in the fridge, and the patio sealed from insects.

♡ When you say, “Ugh, I hate this season,” he just hands you a glass of cucumber water and kisses your forehead. “Then we make it tolerable. Together.”

♡ He’s surprisingly clingy when you’re hot and annoyed. Always brushing damp hair off your face or sitting close without touching unless you let him.

♡ And if you’re hiding in a dark room mid-heatwave? He joins you silently and reads aloud until you calm down.

These were fun to do! Nice break away from the redrawing stuff I've been doing lately.

The last drawing I was going to add some dialogue but scrapped it (I couldn't fit it in) Anyway, what was going to be written:

𝜗ৎ Also most likely the one to hold your hair back / teasingly comfort you in a bathroom stall as you throw up everything you consumed in the past 24 hours.

𝜗ৎ He's evil, sure.. but he has an inch of a heart left under the coarse walls he's built up.

𝜗ৎ You will feel like crap in the morning, that's a promise; but you'll, at the very least, have Ronin to aid you through that crap.

He's already up when you begin to stir awake. As reality finally knits itself together from a sickening swirl, the price of consciousness is the blossoming ache pounding into your head relentlessly.

Pain hits you akin to a freight-train, shooting you right back into the pillows in search of comfort.

Ronin has a sickeningly sweet and condescending grin on his lips as he smiles down at you.

"Feeling it now? You went crazy yesterday, darlin'."

"Who's fault is that?" You snap back, only to immediantly regret it as pain shoots like thorny vines across your body.

"Cranky, are we? I'll get you some painkillers, love."

Angel.

𝜗ৎ Maria doesn't inherently enjoy the concept of drinking at an open bar full of strangers.

𝜗ৎ So instead, she watches you with a steady eye from across the bar.

𝜗ৎ Your happiness is enough to fuel her entertainment, anyways.

𝜗ৎ She's well aware of the signs of you becoming too drunk and when the signs of when you're eager to do something you'd regret.

𝜗ৎ Instead of just dragging you away, she'll attempt to diffuse and disuade your impulsive and or intrusive thoughts.

"I know you'd absoulutely love to eat your shot glass, my love," Maria coaxes your hand with the most syrupy tone, taking your fingers to interlock with hers. She subtly pushes away the minature cup, briefly eyeing down the bartender.

"But you shouldn't... What if the bartender wants it back?"

You nod slowly as if her words are all that compelling. Though, they barely register in your glassy mind, swimming in the minefield of pleasant haze in your pretty little head. The warmth flourishing in your head wasn't only the fault of liquor anymore, but Maria's contact against the tacky bartop.

"You should," You supress a hiccup. "live a little, mari... too worrrriiied." You drag out with an exasperated snort.

"You aren't worried enough." There's humor in her tone, but her woe overlaps it more thickly.

"You're so cute when you're anxious about me," You whine out, a dopey and loopy smile on your face.

"And you're adorable when you're drunk. Too adorable. Let's get you home." She doesn't leave much room for argument as she stands, dragging you up with interlocked digits.

Misaki.

𝜗ৎ She, unfortunately does not take her own limits into account.

𝜗ৎ They like to share every waking experience with you; and so, if you take a sip, they take a sip. You order a pint, they order a pint. You pass out in a dingy alleyway after throwing up? They're waaay ahead of you.

𝜗ৎ You both are just as bashed as eachother, trying to navigate the way back home.

𝜗ৎ It's cinematic, really.

It was a few hours into Sunday, both you and Misaki had been, understandably, kicked out of the bar you had both perched at. Both too stubborn to call an uber, pretty sure neither of you could even recall the address the two of you drunkely attempt to find your way home.

"Misa-Misaki, i promise you- it's that way."

"No... It's not! We went that way already. It's... eerm, that way." A limp arm is raised in a random direction.

"That's the motorway." A car zooms past as Misaki lowers their arm in defeat. You squint. "Tryna get us killed?"

Misaki only pouts, "I am not trying to kill us. Direction doesn't exist when you're drunk, silly."

"Direction exists with or without our consent."

"Kinda problematic."

𝜗ৎ Valentin is convinced he'll never understand the hysteria over alcohol. It's something he'll never grasp, and something he's glad he'll never grasp.

𝜗ৎ When you express your elation over a new bar that's just opened, he doesn't have the heart to tell you he didn't wish to spend his friday evening around sweaty addicts who don't know a single concept about personal space.

𝜗ৎ He watches you like a hawk the entire night while awkwardly being stuffed away in a corner of the establishment.

𝜗ৎ Definitely not the type to tell you what and when to do something, but if he notices any anomalies in your behaviour or the dilapidated environment you were both planted in,, he's taking himself and his intoxicated partner out of there. No questions asked.

"How many shots did you take?" He throws you a glance, trying to gather some info on how much you could remember to mentally calculate how much pain you were destined to be in tomorrow.

Your full body weight is slomped against Val, drunken babbling floating in and out of his ears. A giggle bubbles in your throat, It forces it's way through as you choke out, "Only one, i never miss."

Valentin doesn't respond immediantly, occupied with adjusting his grip on you to assure you don't kiss the pavement. He finally sucks in a deep sigh when he's certain you won't fold over like a wilted flower.

"You never miss." He repeats back to you flatly. "You took eight."

"Why ask if you already knew?.. That number doesn't even sound right."

"I wouldn't be suprised if you took more whilst i wasn't paying attention."

Val is always paying attention to you.

He absentmindedly questions if the bartender influencing your incessant methonal consumption could be considered morally wrong, but ey, that's a thought for tomorrow.

new mini series of headcanons im starting... killer chat! is the first on the docket. i'm writing this from an airport so please, ignore any typo's and shi.... im so sleep deprived, anxiety kept me up so i didn't sleep yet.

written from the concept of you're a regular at the bar, and the love interests are your bartenders... inspired by some youtube short i saw.

ronin beaufort, as your bartender!

— he overpours for the love of the game, cus you once said alcohol doesn't affect you. (it affects you terribly well... and he knows...)

— ronin watches your drink, and everyones drinks and protects them from creeps. actively shoots the soda gun at people who are being weird around drinks.

— shoots the soda gun at a lot of people. "its just tonic water, was the big deal guys" looking mfer.

— he's giving you the wrong drink. "oops, yeah i didnt think you actually wanted that other drink; finish that one and i'll make you the actual one you wanted, i guess"

— are you gonna finish that? drinks it for you.

— totally a bit wasted on the clock, and he likes it that way.

— random discounts, just for sillies to see if the owner would notice.

— dancing behind the bar for the thrill of the eyes on him. he's hot and he knows it lbr.

— she doesn't let you pick your drink, not because you can't but because she likes to have you try new things.

— she's always hitting on you, to avoid randoms hitting on her.

— shes can't do any flare when mixing drinks, but she tries. she gets some small flares off but nothing too crazy.

— they just be pouring shit to pour shit.

— they get in soooo much trouble, but they looooooove to make you drinks, whatever you want. and make you mystery drinks.

— reading manga on the job, or playing on their psvita.

— they do so many flares, flare after flare after flare, all for a good tip, to get whatever money people are willing to give 'em.

— everyone loves misaki, and wants misaki as their bartender but theyre too busy paying attention to you.

— they hit their vape and do smoke tricks too. you love it tho.

— theyre constantly singing along to whatevers on the radio in the bar. theyre the life of the staff.

valentin viljoen, as your bartender!

— makes drinks perfect. no over pour, no underpour.

— rare freebies... but only when you need it.

— he actually breaks up fights better than the bouncer does. he is constantly jumping into fights to break shit up.

— he does get you free fries from the kitchen tho.

— he doesnt do flares... but he does give a hell of a smile as he talks to everyone. he makes it a show without making it a show. and thats real showmanship he says.

— he babies you at the bar, whenever you order, he double confirms what you want to order, and how you want it done. just to make sure you get what you want. its sweet.

— he makes a lot of experimental drinks to put on the menu, because when ronin used to do it, it ended poorly a lot.
