Something different …meaningful gentle reverence, and a sense of sacred reflection for you.
There’s something healing about water. It doesn’t erase the pain, but it cradles me in a way that helps me breathe again. When I sink into the warm, bubbling water of my deep bathtub, I feel the burdens of the day loosen their grip. It becomes more than just self-care; it becomes soul care.
I turn off the lights, light a few fragrant candles, and switch on the soft, shimmering glow of the crystal chandelier above me. My playlist of gentle soothing melodies—fills the air. In that moment, my bathroom transforms into a sanctuary. A place to rest, release, and reconnect. The world quiets. My heart listens. And God meets me there—in stillness, in water, in light.
The chandelier in the photo is the very one that hangs above my tub. I’m drawn to the way it catches and dances with the light. I have others throughout my home, along with a 7-foot tall metal tree adorned with sparkling Swarovski crystals—many of them angels. My home is filled with light, with music, with beauty that lifts my spirit. These little things are my offerings of gratitude, my way of welcoming peace into the spaces I live in.
Life is uncertain. Tomorrow isn’t promised. So I choose to love. To extend grace. To nurture joy where I can. To create a space where my soul can rest.
Though I have known suffering inflicted on me from the worst of what the world has to offer I also have known deliverance. I have seen the shadow and still chosen the light. God has carried me through storms I never thought I’d survive, and now I lift up prayers for those still in the midst of their own.
I pray for others to know that same peace—the peace that passes all understanding. I pray for you, that you have everything you need: peace, love, and a heart full of joy. I hope you find yours-
May you know love, may you know rest, and may you know you are not alone.
