I work at a movie theater (just started at the very end of September so it was great timing) and I got to see the movie early at a midnight crew screening! Which is very cool but I honestly wish I had waited to go opening night, because I did go on opening night to watch it for the third time and the reactions were fantastic. One of the best nights of my life, and it wasn’t even my first time seeing the movie. Working FNaF movie opening weekend was fantastic in general, we got a LOT of people and so many dressed up. For one of the mornings I worked during its opening week, I talked to people about it as they were going in (some of them were very excited) and when the movie got out multiple people came to tell me they really really enjoyed it. It was wonderful. (There was this one kid who came out and talked to me a couple times during the movie?? It was interesting. And after the movie there was this other young kid who was talking to me about FNaF memes and was calling me “sir” and Henry - I’m AFAB and most people usually perceive me as female, but I was dressed as Henry Emily with a Fredbear-shaped nametag on that read “Henry E.” so this kid was talking to me as if that’s just who I was. It was very sweet.) But yeah it was awesome to see how happy and excited people were. Shout out to this one person who very loudly said “William Afton?! Oh my God that’s CRAZY” while leaving the theater.
But yeah TL;DR this was a wonderful time for theater employees who love FNaF. And just a wonderful time for FNaF fans in general! It’s made me so emotional to see how excited everybody has been about this movie and how far the community’s come. It’s so cool to see.
WOAH THATS SO COOL I'm glad it's been a good time all around!!! I have a friend who went with a whole group in cosplay, it's been so much fun seeing how excited people get!!!
I'm also very relieved it was a genuinely good movie aldhdjSKFHSKG yeah sure it was a little campy and they couldn't really do much with their younger rating but they KNEW how to take what they had and make it something special and that's absolutely wonderful! These are great stories thank you for sharing!!!
