Viktor hasn’t worn a shirt in yeeeeears and has no plans to start. He does occasionally put on a very deep v-neck for the Fashion. Yuuri does wear shirts but it has been decided by group vote that this is both unfashionable and a poor use of his funds.
“Phichit! Phichit, where did you put my shirt??”
“The bottom of the pole, where else would I put it?”
“Ahh, come on,” Yuuri pouts, and then goes and slides expertly down the pole shirtless. “You’re such a prankster!”
“You’re welcome,” Phichit says pityingly to the breathless rest of the firehouse. “Y’all are on cleanup crew for me again.”
The enthusiasm for his job starts to wane for Viktor as he realizes he can’t save everyone, and that’s a difficult knowledge to overcome as the years pile on. Somehow, Yuuri’s passion and stubbornness in the face of impossible odds saves them both. They end up napping snuggled up atop each other on the firehouse sofa waaaay too often.
Also PS I haven’t watched Promare in full, but if that’s what you were angling for, like... Lio Fotia looks PAINFULLY like Yurio. At least for me there’d definitely be some kind of dad situation where Yurio shows up in *the bitch pose* in his mecha and the confrontation goes like this
“It is I! Yurio! Remember my name, and FIGHT me!” After some fancy moves and some intense clashes, accompanied by way too much flair, Yuuri stops and gasps:
“How old are you?”
“He’s just a kid,” Viktor realizes, head tilting.
Yurio attempts to burn them alive very spitefully, but Yuuri crosses his arms and plucks him up with a little smile.
“UNHAND ME, I AM A REBEL LEADER--”
“Are you hungry?”
“YES. BUT, YOU PIG, MY PEOPLE AREN’T EATING AND NEITHER WILL--”
“Your people aren’t eating?”
Impulse control isn’t great amongst any of them, so the firefighters and Burnish turn on the government preeeetty fast
