Small but pretty, a nice compliment to my room.  Five stars.

I was surprised they were as small as they were; but I do have a messed-up sense of scale. They were well-packed, wrapped in newspaper and brown paper to prevent scratching. From other reviews, I knew to expect brown, grey, or purple hues, which was fine. The specimens I received were grey and white, and quite lovely. I prefer the natural coloration to the brighter, dyed agates.

Being natural products, there are of course variations in color, size, and shape. The pair I received were tall and narrow, with a thick grey band, a narrow darker band, and a solid, sparkly grey-white core. Two faces are highly polished; the outside of the geode is left rough and natural, and the bases are semi-polished. I would suggest, if you're afraid of scratches, adding a felt pad under the base.

I don't plan to use these as actual bookends, but instead just as a lovely decoration on my dresser. The coloration compliments my bedroom decor quite well.

I received these free in exchange for my honest review. I honestly do think they're quite nice, and I was lucky to get the pair I received.
