Here is a photo from a couple of days ago when I was weaving the Star Pulses cushion cover, one of the most time-consuming weaves.
It has been quiet here for some time as I have been at a textiles conference in Austria as well as concentrating on writing my book on the Omodos needle lace. Here are a couple of images taken during the research-phase of my book showing the beginning of a piece using the basic knot, as well as a finished table-cloth comprised of small circular designs. I will be sharing some photos from the textiles conference soon!
These last two weeks I took a break from writing my Omodos needle-lace book and finally did some weaving. I haven't sat on the loom for quite some time, so on Monday evening my hands and neck were aching. But it was a relief to count warp threads with my fingertips, see new designs forming before my eyes and hear the familiar sound of the beater.
You are invited to celebrate with us the release of our new handwoven geometric shoulder bag designs, ideal for both casual and formal occasions. Their neutral hues and forms can be effortlessly coordinated with various clothing styles and colours. At the workshop you can also find a variety of delightful handwoven items like bracelets, shawls, mobile phone cases, cushion covers, Christmas decorations and pouches. All make unique beautiful Christmas presents! Join us to celebrate over a glass (or two) of homemade liqueur!
