Mr. Geo. A. Brush is putting down a sewer through the alley between Congress avenue and Colorado street, from Bols d’Arc, his main sewer.
The musicale that was to have been given by Miss Ida Tobin to-night will be postponed until further notice on account of sickness in the family.
The Edison Electric Light company have placed one of their main service wires in position across Congress avenue. They are pushing steadily ahead with their work.
Last night a box of ashes was taken out of the residence of Charley Kluze, 317 East Pecan street. The ashes were hot and set fire to the box, and flames were getting headway, when Mrs. Tiedeman, living next door gave the alarm, and Officers Gibson and Gassoway answered, broke open the door and put out the blaze.
