A few years back, I was on my way home to Rye, NY after visiting with my two beautiful children who live in the rural town of Warwick, NY, when I saw on the car ahead of me a license plate that said something to the effect of SWINGEE. The car stopped at a local roadside ice cream stand and so did I. Out jumped bandleader George Gee…just one of those moments when you don’t expect to bump into a swing band leader!
