It’s such a treat to play live music for dance performances, not something I get to do too often. A highlight at Lindy Focus was playing a clarinet solo behind these great dancers.
Truly an honor to spend another week with these great musicians who love and know so much about swing-era music. Lindy Focus 2019 was one for the books!

If you enjoyed this month's conversation with Jonathan Stout, be sure to check out his Swing Guitar Blog, where he maintains in-depth reviews of vintage guitars and breaks down tunes with charts, videos & much more. It's required reading for anyone interested in swing music and great insight into what makes Jonathan tick.
Jonathan Stout, ILHC 2015 by Ryan Swift via Flickr Episode 8 of The Track is out today, where I have a great conversation with bandleader Jonathan Stout. Tune in to hear us chat about what makes a good song for swing dancing, whether DJs are a valuable asset to swing dancers, and his relentless pursuit of ‘the real deal’ - an obsession with the authentic and how that translates to his role as a swing dancer and bandleader.
