Boss Biggis

The corrupt and corpulent Boss Biggis owned property in the arid countryside on the far outskirts of Gotham City. There was indications that the land might hold large gold deposits and Biggis would stop at nothing to get his greedy hands on this precious ore.

To this end, Biggis had his goons abduct a large number of homeless men from the impoverished neighborhoods of Gotham. Biggis then forced these men to act as slave laborers, digging for gold under the hot sun. He deprived these men of food and water and threatened them with execution if they did not work as hard as they could.

When Batman became aware of the growing number of disappearances among the homeless population in Gotham, he went undercover to infiltrate the shantytowns where these unfortunate individuals were forced to reside. It was not long before Bruce was himself abducted and forced to work in Biggis’ mines.

Plagued by a head injury, it took Bruce a bit to get his wits together. Before long, however, Bruce was back to full health. He donned the guise of Batman and quickly took down Boss Biggis and his operation.

Biggis was sentenced to life in prison and the men he had abducted were freed. The Wayne foundation offered health care and employment opportunities to these men with some taking the offer up.

Actor George Murdock provided the voice for Boss Biggis with the vile cad appearing in the twenty-third episode of the first season of Batman: The Animated Series, ‘The Forgotten.’
