A year ago George Floyd was assassinated. His death rekindled the Black Lives Matter movement that emerged after the deaths of Trayvon Martin in 2012 and those of Michael Brown and Eric Garner in 2014. This is my tribute I remember all of them (and those of whom we do not know their names) and all that their memory means today. Why only Geoge Floyd? Because the first time I heard about the movement was months after his death, in October, when I returned to Intagram after medical authorization to draw again. At that time I promised myself that I would make a contribution. And here it is. Inked with brushes and Winsor & Newton Indian ink; and Fineliner Staedler (numbers 1.2, 0.8, 0.6, 0.4 and 0.2).
