headcanons below!

Richie had been planning this day over and over in his head. He would kiss the love of his life and do it right as he dropped Eddie off at home after a long day of getting ice cream, going to the arcade, and bike riding.

He wanted to kiss Eddie as he dropped him off, so if it went bad, he could just speed home.

Of course, plans didn’t go the way he pictured them.

Richie got a brain freeze and dropped his ice cream. 

Eddie tripped while walking into the arcade and hurt his knee. (they still played games though)

When they left the arcade and got their bikes, they realized their tires were slashed so they had to walk all the way back to Eddies.

Richie backed out of kissing Eddie and just gave a wave goodbye since the day went terrible.

As Richie walked toward the road, Eddie ran after him, grabbed his arm, and gave him a long sweet kiss. 

Richie, shocked, asks why.

“Well, you were supposed to kiss me but you didn’t. So.. Figured I’d kiss you instead”

“How did you know I was going to kiss you?”

“You dropped your notes” Eddie showed him a crumpled up paper that Richie had written the whole planned day out on.

HEADCANONS BELOW

- All the losers love Halloween it’s a known fact

- They try to do a group theme every year because it’s fun okay?

- This year it was superheroes b/c yes

- Richie decides he wants to be Batman and he wants to convince Eddie to go as Robin

- Eddie really just wants to go as Plastic man because he’s his favorite but the idea is tempting cause he’d be stuck with Richie all night

- Downside is that he’s stuck with Richie all night as his sidekick

- He spends the entire month saying that he’s going as Superman to piss Richie off because he’s Eddie and it’s fun for him

- Bev joins in and says that’s she’s going as Wonderwoman

- She knows about Eddie’s plan and is already planning to match with Ben. It’s just fun to mess with Richie

- The night of Halloween, Richie expects to see Eddie as Superman and instead sees him all embarrassed and fixing his little green mask as Robin.

- Richie doesn’t shut up for the entire night because he’s talking about Eddie’s short shorts and how cute he looks in them.

- Eddie keeps punching him in the arm. His cheeks are all red. He really wants to kill Richie but at the same time he really doesn’t

- The rest of the losers just shake their heads at the entire night because they’re a mess let’s be honest
