hi abby im here to shamelessly ask for some katyageorge shit ;)
hi annie!! thank you for requesting this!!
The rafters of the rink resound with Katya’s giggles as she races away from Georgia, ice shavings flying everywhere as she focuses on speed rather than elegance. “You can’t catch me!” she shouts over her shoulder, twisting to start skating backwards and face her girlfriend.
Georgia flies into her and Katya suddenly realises that she was way to closer to her than she thought as both of them tumble to the ice in a tangle of limbs and a crash as their skates collide.
For two (well, former) Olympians, they really aren’t that coordinated, huh? Katya thinks wryly. She rolls over and laces her arms around Georgia’s midsection, pulling her close and tucking her head on top of her shoulder. “Hey,” she murmurs, the words a low rumble in her chest.
“Hi,” Georgia says, cheeks flushing as she leans back into Katya’s embrace and pulls her arms even closer. “I thought you were meant to be better at skating than that, Miss Olympic Silver Medallist?”
Katya's nose ghosts along Georgia's neck, making her girlfriend huff with quiet laughter. She places a gentle kiss on her chin before grinning up at her. "I could say the same to you, Miss Gold Medallist."
"That's not what you were saying to weeks ago when you called hockey unrefined and lacking grace."
"Maybe so," Katya says before pecking Georgia's cheek and squeezing her tighter. "But I love you nonetheless." She pulls them into an upright position and takes a moment to admire the way that Georgia's abs flex slightly where her t-shirt has ridden up. "But can we get up off the ice now? Because as much as I'm enjoying this moment, my jeans are soaking and I think that we could be enjoying this just as much in my hotel room."
Instead of replying, Georgia simply spins around on the ice and pulls Katya in for a searing kiss that she drinks in like a man crawling through the desert that's just found an oasis. She frames her hands on either side of Georgia's face and responds in kind, doing her utmost to show her just how much she's loves this and loves her.
They break apart, chests heaving and hair askew, and Georgia jumps to her feet, leaving Katya kneeling on the ice. She smirks down at Katya, calls "First one back to the room wins!" and turns on her heel to sprint towards the rink's entrance.
"Wins what?" Katya shouts, her voice echoing through the rink.
Georgia has the nerve to pause mid-skate, throw a laugh and a wink over her shoulder and simply say, "Well you'll just have to find out."
Katya has never moved so quickly in her life.
