Geranium gracile x Geranium ibericum, Geranium ‘Sirak’, Geraniaceae
This hardy ornamental hybrid was created in 1992 in Germany by crossing G. gracile and G. ibericum, plants native to the Caucasus and Western Asia. I guess this plant has escaped from a garden as it is the only one I’ve seen in the wild in my area, or at least the only one I’ve noticed! It looked particularly dramatic covered in raindrops, which were enhancing the dark mauve patterns of the veins on the petals.
