The first part of the two “Gesko-Speed” novels. The second, "Die lange Reise” [The Long Journey] appeared earlier as Terra # 028, for at that time one did not have the rights for this novel yet. A typical Scheer of the time, with one of his Supermen, who puts all the others in his pocket. Exciting action, but no more, Scheer can deliver it better, as some of his really good novels show it. Just found a hundred pulps from this german collection in my reserve. The serie ran from 1951 to 1975 for 1629 issues. First publishing all kind of genres, the collection introduced a sub-serie called “Westmann-Erdball-Romane” (that had also its sub-series) and from # 897 on to the end, the pulps were only western titles.
