Just watched "Spirited". Really enjoyed it. The only thing that bothered me was that I watched it with my parents and therefore in German.... Now, most big actors have their one designated voice actor for synchronization hoere in Germany, as does Ryan Reynolds... But apparently his voice actor can't sing. So, the songs where sung by a different voice. You knew a song was coming whenever his voice suddenly switched. The songs were translated nicely, but this was really irritating 😅

If anyone is interested: the German subtitles in the Special Edition of Arpeggio are auto-translated or something, which still makes them understandable, but also extremely funny from time to time

(the German synchro is, btw, surprisingly good? Haven't watched the German version of DC and Cadenza yet because I'm afraid of Hiei's German voice, but the anime is actually quite good)

I'm going to see Spectre this evening. My reaction will have to wait until tomorrow, since the movie won't let out until 11pm and I need to get up early for work. I'd have prefered to see it sometime else but it's quite a bit more expensive on the weekend and they're only showing the original insteado f the dubbed version this week.

I was a bit worried I'd have to wait until the DVD comes out to see the original version instead of the German Synchronisation. The local radio station decided had an interview with the man lending James Bond his voice in the German dub. Well, turns out he also dubs a few others, among them Adam Sandler. It's not too obvious but I'm not sure I'd be able to forget it. The more striking thing for me, however, is that he also lends his voice to Danny Messer on CSI NY and there his voice sounds very very similar.

What makes it even more difficult for me is that, due to my poor eyesight (which I for some reason I can't remember hid from my parents), I accidentally trained myself to recognize people not by their face but by their voice and build. So, yeah, I'd rather save myself the confusion.

for all the Inuyasha Fans out there please sign this petition! The problem is in German they stopped dubbing Inuyasha after 107 episodes. We are trying to continue this series on German tv. Among the supporters are also the German voice actors! So we remain hopeful!
