Isn’t it tragic that the sole purpose of being born is to carry the sins of those who came before?

i think about how gerrod and eleine were both people who were trying to lessen the burden of a priestess’ duty in their own ways and it must have been the most miserable fucking thing in the world to realise that not only has a priestess come to purify them it’s not even the one they were expecting and it’s just a little kid
