Gesaffelstein and HAIM are two sensational acts I never thought I’d see together. Their style of sound seems so far removed from one another. Yet here we are, reeling to the weighty darkness and haunting bewitchment of So Bad, lifted from the French producer’s sophomore album Hyperion. I never thought HAIM’s vocals could be so ethereal and sable enthralling. Turns out, its a perfect fit for Gesaffelstein’s brooding synths and barbed bass. So Bad’s twisted braids and contorted tension even bring to mind the likes of FKA Twigs and Sevdaliza. You can take in Gesaffelstein’s new album Hyperion in full, here.
