Kaia’s story (flash back)
"Why do you do it?" He asks. I feel my slender body tense underneath my gigantic winter coat. "You know it's bad for you." He adds. I puff out a breath. He's talking about the smoking. "That's my goal. I smoke because I know it's bad for me." I say softly. His mouth opens slightly as if to say something and raises his hand to me, but the thought must've slipped his mind since his arm stays hovering in the air.
