She appeared bored, legs crossed at knees as she sat in front of a mirror, light bulbs illuminating and reflecting off of the mirror, light glow surrounding her face, index and middle finger slipped into a powder puff, lightly dabbing into loose powder that was just one tone lighter than her skin tone. She had come to learn that on nights like these, the clientele preferred it when she was more fair skinned than dark. It gave an illusion of innocence that scumbags went crazy over. Face leaned closer into the mirror, and head moved to the side slightly as she brought the puff to her cheeks, quick swish over bone before inspecting her work and putting it back in its place, moving onto the next matter of painting her face.
Footsteps were heard, and they closed in as she sighed, attributing the sound as someone hoping to get a peek of her backstage. It wasn’t the first time, but she had found they were less inclined to perv on her if they thought she had heard them. “Sorry, kid. Show doesn’t start for another three hours. You’re welcome to sit in the audience and wait though--” Not exactly the friendliest introduction, but friendliness was hardly a concern of hers to begin with, even more so when she believed them to be trespassers. Few moments passed, without any sign of the person leaving, another sigh as she turned her head, only to come face to face with who appeared to be someone hired by the manager of this place.
“Guess you’re not a kid, then--” Well, more like he was still a kid to her. He couldn’t be any older than 18-20. Her eyes looked him over, attempting to get a read on him and figure him out, and realization that he was some sort of body guard hit her.
“I take it you’re someone they hired to make sure people don’t get too rowdy, then?” Voice lacked any real interest, and she paused before continuing. “Maybe they should have hired someone else, then. Two nights ago some jerk-off reached up on stage to try and cop a feel. You can’t be too good at your job if you can’t even keep creeps at a distance.”
