My Funtastic Weekend Away!!

Hi guys! Just back from a fantastic weekend away in Tullamore with my girlfriend for her birthday. I was looking for somewhere close to Dublin and accessible by train to surprise her with a quiet weekend trip for just the two of us. Tullamore court hotel gave us a great place to stay with delicious grub, honestly the steak was out of this world!

 We weren’t looking for any big nights out when we were there so we stayed away from the Palace. We did become pretty attached to a pub called the Brewery Tap though, we were told to go there by someone at the hotel reception and it didn’t disappoint at all.

 We also decided to ease our hangovers on the Sunday by going for a walk around Charleville castle, even though it was a little bit creepy, it was a great day out, I would recommend for anyone that has even the slightest interest in history to go there. It was just wonderful! Tullamore is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet weekend away that’s not too far from Dublin.

Thinking on Norway, 2012

There is nothing like glancing through old trip photographs to inspire the planning of another adventure.

Planning, or obsessively studying in my case. I love the research aspect of traveling; for me it is akin to taking the trip twice. Sadly this year I will not be returning to the strikingly beautiful country of Norway, but France 2015 here I come!
