Yesterday was a semi-lazy day. It was a sort of get ready day. And it was definitely we had to be a couple places at specific times day.
We didn't get going 'til after noon which is great 'cause we needed the sleep. Normally, I'd say we were catching up on sleep except no. Turns out there's no such thing. You use or lose it. Each and every night.
So basically we got the sleep that we were supposed to have which was lovely.
We started off at Goodwill and then Keepers (the upscale Goodwill store) and then Sprouts before heading north.
Now the main point of the day was logistics. To pick up our Escape Campervan rental in Inglewood after dropping off our car rental from Long Beach Airport (Go Alamo!) also in Inglewood a coupla miles away.
Special thanks to Kimmer for getting Alamo on board to picking up from one airport and returning to another. They didn't get it at first but then Kimmer straightened them out and it was all good.
We managed the drop-off at 320, snagged an Uber, and appeared on the Escape Campervan lot different minutes ahead of our 4pm scheduled pickup.
Great help, as always, from the staff there. We got Big Foot which I absolutely love. The van has the interior configuration we appreciate most. Plus we scored a propane canister for free where people who're returning from their adventures leave stuff for people who're leaving on their adventures.
We figure there's still about half left.
Afterward, we drove Big Foot back to Irvine for dinner at Wahoos where, gotta say, both variations of their tacos carne asada (citrus & 1978) were fabulously delicious with the citrus variation for the win but the 1978 variation not far behind.
After that, Target then Dollar Tree then Sprouts before calling it a day. Pretty much we've got what we're gonna need. We'll see.
Finally, for a bit of normal being at home vibe, Kimmer made us cookies and we watched an episode of The Crown and an episode of Last Man Standing before turning in for the evening.

By comparison, today we're off to Universal Studios Hollywood for a day at Universal Studios Hollywood. Gonna head out, in fact, in the next half hour and navigate that rarest of experiences: a both fun and relaxing time at a major theme park.
