Tinashe at Sundance NEXT FEST '14
Sundance NEXT FEST in Los Angeles is this weekend, starting with a screening of Napoleon Dynamite with Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery this Thursday. NEXT FEST is a new breed of festival experience celebrating the intersection of music and film, where each film is paired with either a special performance that embodies a shared artistic sensibility, or a conversation that brings together filmmakers with those who inspired them.
Saturday's showing of Malik Vitthal's Imperial Dreams is going to be followed by a performance by Los Angeles raised singer-songwriter Tinashe. Her most recent mixtape, Black Water, was released last November and is filled with smooth, enchanting, and at times, dark, R&B jams. Really excited for her debut album, Aquarius, which is set to come out this September.
