( x )          ◜ & ╾ ◞  the sarcastic laugh at her words causes his stomach to turn , fingers drumming against his thigh. ‘ you’re worth the entire world. ’  b a r e l y  whispered words , he can FEEL the pit in his stomach grow at the realization that she could’ve easily heard what he said.  - w - h - y -  does he have to be like this ? ‘ georgie , i ╾ ... i didn’t even think about it. i assumed that there’d be someone that wasn’t WASTED that’d make sure something didn’t happen to you. i’m sorry. ’ fingers running through his hair , he loudly clears his throat & coughs hoping to not feel so  g u i l t y  about this. his heart flutters at @gevrgies‘s grip on his hand ( ( a gesture that immediately returned ) ) & he follows her downstairs like a lost puppy. ‘ uh yeah , i think WATER is a great idea for both of us ╾  especially you. ’

          honestly, the SMARTEST thing for him to do is to just pack his bag and leave when the professor dismisses the class. buuut that’s not what he does. instead, he packs his bag. goes outside the classroom. and waits for georgie to come out so he can present her with the nicely FORMULATED ARGUMENT that he has already drafted up in his head.

          and he knows, he knows, he knows that georgie’s going to come back with some STUPID REMARK that’s a clear reflection of her intelligence ( or lack thereof ), but she got the last word in their in-class argument and he’s not going to let her get away with that, hell no. so he waits, and ah, there she is ---

          “okay, first of all.”  without a second thought, he moves to block her passageway.  “what you said about OPPOSITES ATTRACT has been largely debunked. countless studies have shown that we’re more attracted to people that are like us. second, just because one person likes pineapple on their pizza and another person does not, it doesn’t mean they’re opposites --- or starcrossed lovers, whatever you called them --- because despite their disagreement with toppings, they still both like pizza.”  he folds his arms across his chest and waits ever-so-patiently for her retort.  “oh, and pineapple on pizza is delicious and NUTRITIOUS, so hop off.”
