Today we have some hardcore/emo/whatever this genre is considered these days. I really dig this band’s sound, and not to mention they have a fun band name: Guitar Fight from Fooly Cooly.
They have about 5000 followers on instagram and no official YouTube channel, so I consider them pretty niche. I’m linking Pyramid as I think it’s a good song and less… abrasive, than say, Blood Mouth. That being said, the entire LP Drought is fantastic and I recommend you give it a listen. It’s got nice raw guitar sounds, without sounding like it was recorded on a flip phone.
Other songs I’d recommend are 64 (if you want some Mario 64 samples in your music) or Teens//Candle (if you want the titular show sampled, FLCL).
