Google For Small Businesses Has Created To Connect Entrepreneurs
In celebration of International Small Business Day, Google today launched Google for Small Business at an event in New York City. A web portal designed to make it easier for entrepreneurs to find business tools and services, it is part of Grow with Google, the initiative Google launched in October 2017 to assist individuals in developing the skills they need to find work or grow their enterprise. On the new site, they can enter their business name and website (assuming they have one), then answer a few questions regarding their business and their objectives. Google will then create a customized, prioritized list of activities, which may involve launching advertising campaigns, or establishing their internet presence, or installing Google Analytics. Most of them tell me that they need help saving time at work, or that they need easy tools to help them promote their business. The internet has created new opportunities for small businesses, but it can be hard to know where to start," said Kim Spalding, Google Global Product Director, Small Business Ads. Even though Google for Small Business can recommend a broad range of merchandise, Spalding pointed to 2 "hero tools" which are part of the lineup. Google My Business, which enables business owners to make their own profiles and sites, and is "a completely free product from start to finish," and Smart Campaigns, which Google started last year to automate the ad-buying procedure for smaller businesses.
