Finally got around to finishing Cucumber Quest, and I have to wonder...is Dream Oracle the real villain in this series?

Is she aware of Nightmare Knight's intentions? Does she want to perpetuate the cycle of hero fights bad guy for her own selfish amusement? It's been ages since I started reading this so I can't remember all the details, but I feel like she has some sort of ulterior motive.
