Thoughts? ( i feel like i am 1 of 5 people that have bothered to play this, lol )
You're not gonna believe this, but this is the first time someone's sent me an IMAGE in my Inbox!
Also, I'm probably one of the other 5 people you just mentioned.
While I don't have a physical DS, I have played this a bit on emulator.
The story in this game is about as "packed" as GGStrive's Arcade Mode (and that's actually saying a lot).
I played the stylus minigames a bit, and they were... a distraction, to put it mildly.
Honestly I'd sooner play Guilty Gear Judgement or VastEdge over this title, for a number of reasons, but the biggest being sheer sprite size difference and visuals.
And I'd also sooner play Guilty Gear X Advance Edition over this game as well, mainly because the depth of that game was so much more fun by comparison.
Though to be fair, this game has better controls than the Wii version of Accent Core (yes, seriously... the Wiimote was a bad idea for fighting games.)
I would say that Chimaki's Bath-house Adventure (Guilty Gear Tangent) would give you more fun for your money's worth compared to this title.
Nintendo was always doing big-brain experiments with their game titles over the years... but fortunately, thanks to duds like this, the Nintendo Switch was born.
I don't think Ishiwatari will ever take a handheld gamble like that ever again, though... just a hunch. Though he does do a few things in the Mobile Game scene, just nothing major yet.
Still, Gig was charming for a boss character... I wouldn't mind it if she made a cameo in Strive as an easter egg at the very least.
