literally all the kitchen equipment belongs to them and you have not financially contributed

you are planning on cooking a LOT of food over a period of several hours

your planned cooktime overlaps with the time they usually prepare dinner (of which you generally partake, so it's not like you don't know when this is)

you are not an experienced cook and could make dangerous mistakes

you are planning on using almost every dish in the kitchen

your cooking project will take over literally all of the counter space, which is in short supply in the first place

you will be handling a lot of raw meat

your leftovers will wind up in the shared fridge, from which you only today cleaned out 1.5 month old moldy red beans that you cooked and forgot about

you have invited over multiple friends your roommates do not know
