It was a different experience for me personally with my arm in the cast. I was determined to run but couldn't do all my 3 leg duties. I ended up running just one leg. Everyone in our team chipped in to take the additional load and we all completed the race - slow but strong.
With all your support (thanks to your employers for their generous matching), I was able raise $2050. I couldn't hit my fundraising goal this year. Nevertheless this $2050 will go a long way.
As pledged, I donated $200 to the fundraiser.
About the relay itself - It was an amazing experience with 10(out of 12) of my friends running this for the first time. It was always going to be challenging with only 3-4 hours of sleep for 36 hours running in the scorching Napa heat, cold windy SF and hilly Saratoga mountains.
We all finished strong with memories to cherish.
