I know this is probably not the kind of asks you respond to much but I’d like to know, where do people go to hang out in vr chat, every public instance I find is mostly loud, full of trolls or otherwise exclusionary?

I've been playing VRChat for over 5 years at this point. And that truth is you just gotta keep moving. For every instance full of trolls theres one full of future friends. I used to just hop from public instance to public instance, usually on the same world. An old favorite of mine with The Great Pug, mostly since it wasnt cross compatible with quest. You'll find many trolls are young teenagers or kids who only have a quest, but this isn't a "solution", just helped me especially a few years back when it was more out of hand than it is now.
Nowadays with the existence of group public instances, you do have a bit more moderation that can go into places you visit so those can help. But also, just joining groups with interest of yours can help in that way too.
Once you are part of a group, group only instances/friends+ are wayyy better, especially ones that require age verification to join since then you are really only interacting with real actual people and not a random kid who thinks being a neusance is funny.
And if you don't have vrc+ to do their age verification some groups do their own so there are still ways to do so there.
VRChat has changed my life for the better, so I'm always happy to share my knowledge and experience to anyone interested 💜

Just got followed by someone who uses these tags in their post, and had "18" in quotes in their bio. This is absolutely sickening behavior. I don't care if you're pretending to be a minor for a kink, or if you genuinely are one. You need to fuck right off with that. You are not and will never be welcome on my page. I hate you.
