Marvel Cinematic Universe Rankings- Part 1
Now that I’ve seen Infinity War twice, and watched certain scenes over and over on Youtube, here is my countdown of the currently available MCU movies. This is inspired by this post from @hgamesfan ❤️
19. The Incredible Hulk This poor movie is like the forgotten cousin of the MCU, but every time I try and watch it, I just wind up frustrated. I don't like this version of Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo is such a huge step forward!), I can’t stand General Ross, and I wasn’t enchanted with Betty Ross either. My chances of liking a movie drop dramatically when I can’t get behind any of the characters.
18. Thor: The Dark World I know I’m in the minority, but I’m not a fan of Natalie Portman, and her acting in this movie, which she didn't want to do, by the way, is not her best. The story is rather important, as it explains one of the Infinity Stones, but... yeah. The best thing about this movie is Loki.
17. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 This movie is hilarious, and a lot of fun. However, it doesn’t do much overall besides introduce us to Mantis and reveal that Peter Quill is a half-god. I love Baby Groot as much as the next person, but I’d be fine only watching this movie again sporadically.
16. Thor Again with Natalie Portman. I like what this movie sets up, and Loki, of course, but the lack of chemistry between Thor and his supposed leading lady just takes me out of it.
15. Ant-Man This is such a fun movie I feel bad ranking it down this low, but there’s just so many good ones coming up, something had to give. Paul Rudd is excellent as the title character, and I love Michael Douglas’s portrayal of Hank Pym. I’m also looking forward to Hope Van Dyne’s expanded character arc in the sequel this summer.
14. Iron Man 2 This movie moved up a few spots in my list when I recently rewatched it. While it’s not nearly as well done as the original, I really enjoyed the growth of Tony Stark’s character. Plus, it introduces Black Widow.
13. Guardians of the Galaxy The first time I watched this movie I hated it. I thought Rocket was dumb and I didn’t like Gamora at all. Rewatching made me appreciate it a lot more, and it’s important that it sets up the story behind the Infinity Stones, but this is still not one I often choose to rewatch.
12. Iron Man 3 I still don’t understand why people don’t like this movie. I know the Mandarin is supposed to be one of Tony Stark’s worst archenemies, but still. This is an excellent movie that shows a real person dealing with real issues following a traumatic event. Plus, Tony Stark is just badass in general.
11. Doctor Strange Benedict Cumberbatch is perfect as Stephen Strange, and the special effects here are amazing. I really enjoyed this origin story. Plus the Cloak of Levitation is so cool.
Will continue on in the next post! 😎
So....does the cat under her bed have a spy network?
i need time to process what the fuck I’m looking at, so here it goes.
Cyclops in the year 8000
A captured Troll Doll
A muscle man in a hanging baby seat
wearing a really complex hairdryer
any yet, out of all the science gizmos you could have set up, they just attached dynamite to his feet. Like if your a back robber with a shit ton of fancy gadgets to sneak your way pass security, yet to actually open the safe you just have a hammer.
And all of this was hidden, by ONE loose rivet. That anyone can push in at any time. Not a lot of security here Baron.
Mesh has the face of a man who has everything going exactly his way.
Harry Potter has the Candy Trolley. Girl Genius has the Science Cart.
There we go. But let’s be real, I don’t think he minded that much.
